But because it’s 2024, technology means that those vehicles are a genuine reality, not just something from your favourite action flick.
Pitched at heads of state, celebrities and those needing a security detail, the US Armor Group have launched the Air Sapphire sedan, with prices starting at just over £360,000.
Complete with bulletproof glass, the shell of the Air Sapphire is also capable of resisting grenade fire.
It’s all very James Bond.
But it’s not just the defence that the manufacturer’s focusing on…
Because the vehicle can accelerate from 0-60mph in just 1.98 seconds, reaching a top speed of 205mph with a range of 400 miles in the all-electric vehicle.
Plus, there’s even a WIFI package, scanners for intelligence and data gathering, and security to ensure it’s all safe and sound.
Oh, and if you want custom add-ons such as pepper spray dispensers, poison gas detection (and protection) and an upgraded armour package, it’s all available.
It might not be the ideal fleet vehicle for most, given how specific the features and benefits are, but it does feel like the sort of purchase I might splash out on if I won the lottery tomorrow…
