An Ode To Transformers?
There have been more than a few weird car designs over the years.
And these days, it’s getting harder to innovate when it comes to vehicle designs.
Well, unless you want to create something a bit more… out there.
And that’s exactly what a Spanish EV company has done with their new car, the Lakota.
Because it can shrink down from its full size to around 6 feet to save space.

It works by folding the steering system, brakes and electric motors into the wheels to almost halve its full size, making it easier to park in crowded urban areas.
In a way, they’ve taken the inspiration behind Vespas and smaller vehicles often used in countries such as Italy in narrow streets and applied it to an EV.
It might be a genius move…
Or it might be a little too close to a Transformers toy to make it desirable for many people.
By transforming from 10 feet in length when driving to 6 feet when folded, it means the car has the best of both worlds when it comes to being compact without compromising on space.
Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, the wheels can move in any direction. Which might make parking in tight spaces a whole lot easier!
But with a top speed of 56mph, this is a vehicle that definitely has city driving in mind rather than anything rural or longer distance.
