Back to the Future… again?
When I think about the most iconic cars, my mind instantly turns to Hollywood.
Instantly, I think of James Bond’s classic Aston Martin DB5, Starsky and Hutch’s Ford Gran Torino, and Ferris Bueller’s Ferrari California Spyder.
But there’s one that stands out above all others – Doc Brown’s DeLorean DMC 12.
And while there aren’t any plans to reboot the Back to the Future franchise...
There are plans afoot for a return of the DeLorean DMC 12.
Yep, news broke last year that the iconic car might be returning to the market - but the company that owns the rights to the DeLorean name has announced plans for the launch of an electric DeLorean DMC this year.
The DeLorean Motor Company no longer exists, but plans have always been mooted for a potential return.

Now, I have to break it to you that there aren’t any plans for the rebooted DeLorean to come complete with a flux capacitor.
But it’s an exciting development that could mean a new entry into the EV market…
Although the expectation is that mass production would be some way off, it’s more likely that a limited number will be manufactured.
It made me think – if there was any vehicle from pop culture that you could bring to life, what would it be?
I reckon a pod racer from Star Wars would be possibly the coolest thing I could pop to the shops in…
