What happens when you let your toddler loose on the Tesla website?
You’ve probably seen a few stories before about parents who have been left with a hefty bill after their kids got a hold of their iPad or phone…
But how about a £7,800 upgrade on a car?!
Yep, that’s exactly what happened to one mum in the US after her 10-month-old son got a hold of her iPad and made a few upgrades on her Tesla.
It’s one thing to accidentally rack up a bill on a mobile game… But things get into a whole new price bracket when you’re on the Tesla site!

The upgrade to the self-driving package allows the car to navigate on autopilot, automatically change lanes, AND park – but at a princely cost of £7,800.
Luckily, her 10-month-old son won’t be celebrating his first birthday with a debt to repay, since his mum had been considering the upgrade anyway.
Still, we can’t imagine her reaction was quite so accepting when she got the email confirmation!
She posted a video showing off the features of her son’s upgrade to her new Tesla online and told viewers that ‘Our son decided we needed the self-driving package we’d been debating’.
Then again, we think we’d probably notice a £7,800 hole in our bank account pretty sharply!
