What if you never had to worry about how fast you’re driving ever again?
Do you always know how fast you’re driving?
If so, you’re part of the small minority of drivers who do.
Seat did some research recently, see, and they found that 76% of UK drivers aren’t always aware how fast they’re going.
Leaving them vulnerable to getting caught by cameras or traffic enforcement vans any day of the week.
Now I’m not saying you are one of the 76%, but if you were, how would you feel if your car could take over speed control for you?
Road sign-reading technology means it’s now a possibility.
Using front-mounted cameras, the tech can spot speed limit signs and adjust the vehicle’s speed to just the right amount.
Pretty helpful for the tenth of British drivers who receive a £100 SP30 speeding ticket every year. Seat reckon this sort of built-in gadget could save them £327 million!
And it’d go some way to dealing with the growing speeding problem now that the stay-at-home order’s been lifted and more cars are back on the road.
But what do you reckon? Are you happy with the amount of control you have over your vehicle’s speed? Or would you rather cut out the risk of speeding altogether and hand over the power to your car?
