We have recently carried out a full risk assessment on our fleet of 1300 vehicles and highlighted a few areas of concern, in line with the latest Driving at Work legislation.

We decided to review our Driving Policy and introduce some form of training for our members.

We invited various defensive training providers to carry out presentations on how they can help us achieve a very high level of duty of care, and Driving Monitor delivered with the highest standards. Our priority is to reduce the accident rate and raise the standard of driving throughout our organisation.

Initially, the project focused on assessing all of the drivers to then deliver bespoke online training and in-vehicle advanced driver training. We have ensured the fleet of drivers are being managed in a consistent way to ensure our duty-of-care is being covered.

The platform now automatically verifies key compliance factors in terms of which drivers are High, Medium or Low risk. This has given us a clearer and more accurate overview of compliance, ensuring that every driver meets the required safety and legal standards.
