The six-wheeled EV fit for all terrain…
Electric vehicles have come a LONG way in the last few years.
Gone are the visions of futuristic ideas of what new-age cars should look like and instead, sleek, and stylish vehicles have taken centre stage.
Until now.
Maybe I’m being a bit unfair, but the one-off modified six-wheeled Wuling Hong Guang Mini EV is a bit unusual.
For one, it’s a microcar that started life as a midsize truck in China before the owners went a little bit wild with their redesign.
The entire chassis has been elongated, giving the car a bizarre, stretched appearance that looks like something a child draws when they’re letting their imagination run wild.

It only took two weeks for the EV to go from ultimate efficiency to off-roading monster, but since then it’s spent a fair amount of time sitting outside…
Which means it’s looking a little worse for wear.
A 2-litre, four-cylinder engine means the car packs a punch and the six robust wheels allow you to tackle any terrain with no worries – how useful that is, I’ll let you decide.
Oh, and there’s even an extensive roll cage that stretches across the entire vehicle, giving it the appearance of a stock car built to absorb damage more than something you’d be happy popping to the shops in.
What do you think, is this an EV you’d be happy to make the switch for? It might be the most unusual modification I’ve seen…
